Love the videos. Quick question: is there an intentional decision to quote other canonists at length in the story about Archdiocese of St Paul? Seemed like long stretches of paragraph long quotes were essentially commentary...

FYI-

A link in this email, the one regarding the breakup of the Good Friday liturgy in London, misdirected.

Here is the proper link, which has been corrected, but may not be reflected in all emails:

Is there expected to be some sort of more specific statement, whether from the Crookston diocese, Abp Hebda, or Rome, regarding the findings of the investigation, whether Hoeppner is guilty of any canonical crimes, and the specific rationale for his removal? The diocese's press release simply says that the investigation "arose from reports that he had at times failed to observe applicable norms," which doesn't even go so far as to say that the report corroborated those reports.

Curious about what Hoeppner will do in his "retirement." Will this be up to his successor?

I'm also curious about the experiences of Fr. Robert Schreiner, the Crookston priest who publicly took Vasek's side in his accusations against Hoeppner. Did Schreiner face any retaliation from Hoeppner? My reading about other situations like this leads me to believe that bishops can often force their priests into silence with the threat of suspension from ministry, etc.
