We wanted to bring the family but it was so expensive there was no way. $300x7 was over 2k for the family not counting lodging and food. By the time the scholarships were available there was nowhere reasonably close to get lodging.

I hope this event has its intended effect, and that those who organize and participate in it are rewarded for their efforts. It's not my cup of tea; but Mr. Glemkowski's last line is something I can fully support.

I went to my local Eucharistic Congress gathering and hope to participate in the procession when it passes. I got a bunch of emails from the National Eucharistic Congress this week pushing their ticket sales and finally responded truthfully and politely that I would not consider attending after they needlessly "cautioned" speaker Jason Evert, whose talks don't even focus on anything political but rather on chastity and purity. Mr. Evert is a private citizen, not a clergyman or an employee of the Church, and has the constitutional right to participate in political speaking events. The Congress representative graciously wrote back thanking me for my feedback and said they would pass it on to management.

Still thinking that more would be achieved regarding faith in and love for the Eucharist, by making prayer before the Eucharist accessible in every church, and cleaning up all the liturgical abuses.

No one builds a relationship of trust and love for another person with just a one-time event.

I've been interested in going but the cost and not knowing if accomidations are booked up or not have made me hesitant to pursue it. The other thing thats odd is the Eucharistic Congress website has a link for solidarity scolarships to help defray the costs but it just says none are available and check back later. Im not feeling like this is being organized as well as it could be.

Hoping our local event on May 4th in Kansas City (https://beholdkc.org/) brings in lots of people to praise and worship our Lord too!!

There will never be a revival in belief in the real presence and reverence for Our Lord in the Eucharist so long as communion is received standing and on the hand, by means of a lay woman, and with both species. After, of course, being confected by a geriatric priest using a fabricated Eucharistic prayer said facing the people (instead of God) and surrounded by horrible Boomer hymns.
