I think the biggest revelation to the operating budget of the USCCB is the copyright and royalty ownership to the New American Bible and the American Version of the Catechism (both controversial works, high criticized for creating zombie Catholics, and ones I don't use). Sure the dollar amount earned is crumbs in the big picture of Dollar Catholicism, simply $ 7.3 million, but I bet that's bigger than The Pillar's operating budget.
So in future, when I see certain Jesuit priests complaining about the language used to describe the sin of Sodomy in the Catechism, they are really appealing to the author- The USCCB.
Interesting side bar on the subject: No TLM parishes use the NAB or A.V.C. . Perhaps that's why Cupich and the girls would like to deep six them, I suppose.
