Technically, the diocese covers a whole municipality (called Sucre) of which over half of the population lives in Petare. But the name of the diocese is Petare, not Sucre.

Yeah, I'd say most of the pastoral activity and particularly social activities of the diocese are in Petare. I say "half" based on official statistics but it's probably closer to 2/3rds. Petare is immense. A city within a city (Sucre) within a city (Caracas).
