When Church attendance is in free-fall, one would think that the hierarchy would be thinking of ways of retaining the faithful. Instead, by "outlawing" the Latin Mass, Pope Francis is driving away faithful Catholics. I only wish that he were as direct in disciplining the northern European bishops, e.g., the schismatic Germans and the Cardinal of Belgium.

I was a mom of 4 boys and I can honestly say that I would take one of those days you described back in a minute. It is chaos, it is difficult, it is holy work and it all goes away. God Bless you! I attended Holy Mass at the local church of the FSSPX (well, 20+ miles roundtrip) last year when the diocese foolishly shut down the parish churches propter pestilentiam. There is a local (well, in the same little town where the FSSPX is) diocesan parish where the Traditional Mass is celebrated regularly. If it is felt necessary to suppress that because of whatever provisions of Traditionis Custodes etc etc then I will resume worshipping at the FSSPX church.

Seriously I will give a Snickers bar to the first Catholic public figure who will acknowledge what any serious observer knows to be the truth - that it is painfully obvious now that Pope Saint John Paul II absolutely did not consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1984, and who starts campaigning for Pope Francis to unite with all the bishops of the world to consecrate that nation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and finally fulfill the request of Almighty God in this regard.
