I would love to know if refugees and immigrants are coming to Christ and His Church through this charity! Thank you for the interview.

I am happily a paid subscriber to the Pillar, and I respect a lot of the reporting that you all do. But I have noticed a consistent theme in your posts about charity. That theme is basically the insinuation that Catholics should just give and not ever worry about how their money is spent by Catholic charities (intentionally lower case). This article seems to fall into that category. Catholics have every reason to be cautious about how and where their money is spent. This is not merely some ancillary or secondary "political" issue (as was suggested in the Friday email). It is very much a moral issue intrinsic to the act of charity itself.

For anyone that cares, the Lepanto Institute evaluates charities for their conformity with Catholic teaching, making all of their findings available in detail (https://lepantoin.org/charity-reports/).
