We lived in Qatar for 3 1/2 years and attended Our Lady of the Rosary. As in Dubai, there were many services in English and other languages.I was built in 2008 and was not in the main area of Doha. It was built in the Industrial area but thousands of people attended the Masses
Actually, St. Francis of Assisi Church in the Jebel Ali area of Dubai is another Catholic parish within the city limits of Dubai. It also serves thousands of people in many different languages but not as many people as St. Mary's. Within the metropolitan area of Dubai is another Catholic parish, St. Michael's. Although in Sharjah, another emirate of the UAE, it also serves the Catholics of the Dubai metropolitan region.
As it has been explained to me, Jebal Ali, within the emirate of Dubai, is its own civil jurisdiction. That may be something of a distinction without much difference, though.
I want to reiterate what others have expressed. This was a wonderful article, informative and joyful.
The articles that rile us probably get more comments. I'd like to do my part to pump the comment numbers on this one, a post that only brings peace. Please pass on my compliments to The Visitor and his curiosity.
This is what I want to read. Thanks
Me too

“A priest could be overheard saying”. I love this website so much.

Hopefully Francis visits the parish. Maybe he can save a minute in his schedule of parish visiting to stop in at the climate thingy.
One of the many reasons I read the Pillar

Disregard, I stand corrected, and text corrected.
Thank you for this article, in light of everything it was much needed.
The “visitor” sure got around!! It’s a shame you couldn’t interview him! Great piece. Thank you for taking us along on your day trip.
You know, interviewing the visitor does sound like a great idea. He seems like a very cool guy. Maybe on our podcast?
😂😂😂
Only if you get the exclusive interview! I’d pay to hear that!
Yes, the inside story of the visitor would be fascin…
Hey, wait …

This article alone was worth my $5 this month, even if much of it does seem to be based on "hearsay." 😉
Beautiful. Thank you.
Wonderful read. I love the little adoration chapel with believers from all over the world worshipping the Lord together!
Thanks for this the Pillar!
Very interesting! I know almost nothing about Dubai, but now I want to learn more!
Absolutely beautiful. I'd want to visit Dubai just to be able to visit St. Mary's.
