The division in society is caused by the government and its divisive insistence upon needless and, frankly, not effective restrictions. Few outside of Canada understand how many restrictions we as Canadians have been under for almost two years. There has been a real lack of leadership from the bishops of Canada not only when it comes to the toxic divisions pushed by the government and media, but also to the complex spiritual problems encountered during a pandemic in which most people were faced with mortality for the first time.
This report seems nicely balanced - and for me saying that is something! I especially appreciate the recognition of those who made monetary contributions to those organizations inadvertently harmed in the protest.
The government of Canada (for which every Canadian who failed to vote against them should hang their head in shame) by acting to forcibly impose useless rules like any other totalitarian regime is a disgrace to the once free world. A great contrast were the administrators of more enlightened jurisdictions who either did not impose such wrongful restrictions in the first place or, at least abandoned them as soon as it became clear that they are not helping and did not resort to police state measures to deal with protestors.
To call the experimental gene therapy a "Vaccine" without the quotation marks, and to mention the "so-called Freedom Convoy" is regrettable, but may be a rookie mistake. To not know that it is standard totalitarian practice to manipulate stories about protests with agent-provocateurs is a more serious offense. The protest was and is against yet another assault against reality in the name of "science" that refuses reasonable dialogue or correction, and increasingly cannot be defended, which explains the demonizing of those who speak the truth, and means that health was the mask hiding the true agenda of those relentlessly promoting fear of death as the only reason for unquestioning obedience to ever shifting demands to embrace the abolition of man as the only way "forward".
