I’m looking forward to listening to this! It’s always helpful to hear Edgar’s perspective, even more so on his home country.

Thank you, Edgar, for this insight! I really enjoyed the context and hearing your own stories growing up under the Chavez and Maduro regimes. One note for your own edification, "Coup" is pronounced in American English as "koo" (rhymes with "too" or "blue"), with a long "oo" sound and the final "p" completely silent. Your English is nearly perfect (and certainly better than my Spanish), which is why that pronunciation mistake stood out to me. Thanks again! Forgive me if I sound like a broken record, but Edgar and Luke should have their own standalone podcast to discuss the non-US global Church!

Surrounded by canon lawyers. Sounds like a very interesting place to be.

In The Spirit of the Laws by Montesquieu he notes that different types of culture require different kinds of rule. Maybe true, maybe not, but he certainly makes an interesting case.
