Too bad that Cardinal Pell did not live to see this.

No one... no one. FULL STOP. No one sourced more people for this story and it's ongoing machinations and sycophantic drama than the pillar. This was not only a testament to great, objective Catholic journalism, but was a piece of excellent journalism across all verticals. That the reporting was so investigative and thorough that they became part of the financial Scandal trial because of what they broke, is to be lauded on the highest merit, and the Pope himself (not kidding) should honor them with some sort of civil knighthood (forgive my ignorance... insert Order of St. Joseph or whatever you might call it... P.S. just looked it up... Order of Christ or Order of the Golden Spur will do...) for how they stayed above the fray but reported the truth, even in deference to Cardinal Becciu and his rank as Eminence. It was fair and exhaustive. Bravo!!!
