I really appreciate how you guys included the line "He did not face charges of a canonical crime," in your reporting on Bishop Binzer. Reporting on the canonical implications of Catholics in news is ESSENTIAL for reviving the practice of the Church's internal mechanism of justice.

If a secular person is involved in a newsworthy incident which seems potentially illegal, the secular media always reports their current standing re the secular justice system; the Church should be no different. If a Catholic is involved in a newsworthy incident which seems potentially illicit, the Catholic media should report their standing with regards to the Church's courts.

If the expectation is that the Church uses her law, she will begin to use it.
