Man, Andy just had to go and make me look bad. I didn't even *think* to make JD and Ed. read a poem for Travis. I thought I had peaked as far as gift giving goes, but nooooo.
I'll have to start thinking for next year now to try to top it. (This year is a moot point because I already bought Travis's birthday present. No one tell him what it is.)
Best birthday surprise ever. Thank you! This is courtesy of a not so subtle hint after reading him the Mother's Day subscription gift email and saying they should have included sponsoring a podcast as an idea for the mother who is already a subscriber. :)
He truly is a man among men, never complaining about the variety of sacrifices that my parish ministry job requires of our family. And thankfully his poetry has come a long way from one of the first poems he wrote for me, where he rhymed Sarah with "hair-uh".
When people get angry about AG office "witchhunts" I am reminded of this. . . What's the difference between this (Church cover ups) and a witch hunt? Witches aren't real.
As The Pillar recently noted, it took the state (Constantine) to call Nicea and finally end a heresy. It will take judicial pressure to finally end the coverups and bad practices.
People who claim to do witchcraft are *definitely* still real and should repent and amend their lives (and, after they throw away everything sketchy, have their houses blessed by a priest), but it is true that we do not hunt them.

I will be going to Kentucky for Memorial Day. If you would like, I can ask my Louisville relatives what a well dressed Louisvillian wears.
Benson & Clegg doesn’t sell bolo ties.
