Somebody needs to tell bishops (and priests) with respect to the various people embezzling from parishes and dioceses that it does nobody good by having theft from churches treated more leniently than stealing from, say, a government office.
They need to remember about tempting people to sin -- and harden those targets. We can be merciful after justice is re-established.
I see a major flaw analogizing JD being too lenient with his underaged, very undeveloped frontal lobe children when they talk back to adult men (bishops, cardinals, popes) who have taken vows (promises) of celibacy, are bound by canonical and civil law, and whose main job is to get people to heaven being too lenient on child sex abusers 🤷🏻♀️ just not even comparable
Regarding a pope that is a canonist, are there currently any Cardinals or Bishops who are that are by any metric considered papable? If not, who could be elevated in "rank" that would make a good cardinal or bishop who would also be considered papable in the future? What is the sorting mechanism being utilized where such men are being overlooked/excluded from consideration?
First of all, Rolling Stones and it’s not even a question. Secondly, I wonder, Ed., if your preference for them comes not only from their being objectively better but also from the influence of the Blues on their sound. After all, you did spend your childhood in Chicago, yes?
Praying things settle down for the Flynn family. May weeks be weeks.
Thanks
I agree with "disordered sense of pity".

I wouldn't pick either. I'm definitely a Waylon Jennings fan.
Ed, I had the same week. Three kids all got sick but each taking their turn two days after the first. The week has dragged on.
I have seen the Stone in concert twice, and for the record, I revile the Beatles

I’m just trying to describe the mentality. Im not saying it’s good.
The “disordered sense of pity” at the tribunals has destroyed a lot of families too.
