The question I really wanted Ed to look at was whether the new Fundamental Law for the Vatican City State will have any effect on a certain appeals trial, and what else this law will affect.

Yes, if the Vatican needs money it might make some by charging for the right to destroy certain "artwork".

I look forward to the pillar podcast every week. Highlight of my Saturday…realizing today how depressing the topics can be. See you guys next week!!

"In all things I have shown you that by so toiling one must help the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus, how He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'" (Acts, 20:35)

I meant to comment this in the last time you mentioned Peter's Pence, and of course it's been over a week now, so you might not see this, but I live in the Archdiocese of NY and have all my life. I've never once heard Peter's Pence mentioned at Mass for a second collection. Ever. In any parish. Idk if they just scrape some off the Cardinal's Appeal for it or what, but never in my 35 years has it been mentioned at Mass. I only heard about it for the first time on this podcast. Honestly. Idk when collection for it is supposed to be, but I'd wager ArchNY isn't contributing as much as other dioceses, at least individual parishes outside of Manhattan.
