“Catholics communities needed to be more inclusive of young people, the elderly, the separated and divorced, “LGBT+ people with their parents,” migrants, disabled people, and the economically marginalized.”

This reads like a political program. Is there a special interest group that is not included?

Frankly it's exciting to see the vision come together inspired by the Holy Spirit Himself.

Eph 4 11-16 He himself granted that some are apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ. We must no longer be children, tossed to and fro and blown about by every wind of doctrine by people’s trickery, by their craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every ligament with which it is equipped, as each part is working properly, promotes the body’s growth in building itself up in love.

The numbers involved globally are very poor and greatly discredit the exercise, which has completely failed to capture the attention of Catholics.

This lack of interest shows how 'out of touch' the hierarchy of the Church is, the Vatican II generation now in their dotage. As does the juxtaposition of the reality of the Church in 2022 - e.g. see the remarkable chart about US Catholics numbers recently - versus the time and resources spend on the synod, which is surely little more than a dog and pony show.
