Waiting for follow up article where the statue of Kali keeps falling down in front of the statue of Mary. Just like the statue of Dagon falling to the OT Ark in 1 Samuel 5.
As you develop this story, could you give clearer definitions of "profane" and "sordid"? Is there case history or something comparable to go back to? How have these terms been used in the past? Is there controversy surrounding them, or different schools of thought, or a general consensus?
Just out of honest curiosity, is $240,000 a “normal” sales price for a closed church in that area? It seems like it would be low, but then perhaps they gave the buyers a charitable deal?
As I understand it, the policy of my home (as in, I don't live there any more) diocese (Peoria) is that old churches be torn down before a property is sold after one was converted to a sordid use. I can't find a reference to it online, but I'm that's what I've read in the past.
There are no words in Elvish, Entish, or the tongues of Men, etc etc.
