I am often amazed and in awe at how adversity and persecution can form people of great faith, even while freedom and wealth can lead to apathy or indifference. I am blessed to read this story; many thanks.
Our persecuted sisters and brothers in Pakistan (and India, Africa and elsewhere) need our prayers. We find it so easy to worry about our own lives (egg prices, politics etc) that frequently forget others. Please pray for them and teach your kids about those who suffer in His Holy Name!
I used to think I was a tough guy (USMC, 5xIraq). But when I think of Akash's absolute courage in facing down and literally embracing evil, I realize what a poor excuse of a man that I am. May God reward Akash and may we all be worthy of emulating him.
Thank you Lord for the example of our brother Akash and may his family find comfort in his sacrifice. God rest his soul and may perpetual light shine upon him.
What an intercessor in heaven for the Christians of Pakistan. And thank you to the pillar for making his name known! That surely is a suitable indulgence for the correction issued below… 😉
What a great story. They should fast track his cause for sure. What doubt can there be than that he died in testimony to his faith? It seems like there are already good fruits coming from it all.
Would that we had a million Akash's in the world.
Regardless of his faith, the man is an example of pure courage and a hero among heroes. All glory to God.
This was very moving, thank you for sharing.
Thank you for bringing this brave young man to our attention. I pray for his cause!
I love reading these stories (that you can get nowhere else!)

Thank you for sharing his story. We need more people and stories like this. I will be sharing it with my family.
