18 months into his pontificate, Leo continues to make (in Air Force parlance) "small, controlled inputs to the stick."
It appears increasingly likely, to me at least, that Ed's initial prediction was on target (https://www.pillarcatholic.com/p/leo-xiv-francis-20-and-the-papal): Leo is shaping up to be less "Francis 2.0" and more "Francis 1.5," largely maintaining Francis's initiatives and pastoral approach, but with greater clarity and transparency--and far less (seemingly arbitrary) procedural variance.
The same Francis nonsense, but with "greater clarity and transparency"? They're still trying to kill traditional Catholic teaching and practices, but through use of a firing squad, rather than a sniper.
Sigh…

I disagree with your premise, but I can acknowledge the logical coherency of the conclusion you've drawn relevant to that premise.
Wait until at least the study group on the liturgy has released its findings before giving up on synodality.
Synodality needs to be fed into the wood chipper.
