NH has a lot of Catholic oddities, being close to the big cities in Mass and NY. We've got a splattering of Sede Vacantist communities around the state, many church summer camps and wayside shrines, including one near me built by the Italian golf caddies at a former grand hotel. God willing, my son will be ordained to the NH diocese next year, and his friend/fellow parishioner the following year. Fun fact: NH, Maine and Vermont are all considered the "least churched" areas in America as a result of our early American English heritage, the liberalism of the blue areas and the strong libertarianism of the rural areas. More and more of our priests are from Africa and India.

"But I can also recall the time when a ranking Vatican official chided me for “hurting the Church” by reporting the existence of a Vos estis lux mundi investigation. He asked me why, if I am really a Catholic who loves the Church, I would “shame” her by reporting on the fact that a bishop was under investigation."

-That reminds me, I really need to order a "I just think JD Flynn is a horrible person" shirt...

I'm still hoping they add "No. And you know why. We’re done. We’re done. JD, we’re done." to the line-up.
