This is interesting, and certainly consistent in the direction that Pope Francis is considering Church governance.

The other reforms, such as the stalled reforms of the Vatican finances, are in the direction of transparency in government. This is something that all the faithful should be supporting, and something that the Church can learn from the world.

Humanity's understanding of governance has matured in the past millennia, and there have been experiments in governance. Some have been rather successful, such as the USA, and others totally disasterous, such the Paris Commune and the USSR. Unfortunately, the current state of Church governance resembles the USSR much more than the USA, and a long way from St Thomas Aquinas' ideal of subsidiarity.

One of the greatest fears about the "Synod on Synodality" is that it will be used to push through particular Moral/Ideological/Theological agendas, abandoning the need for the reform of Church government.
