The impact of legality on public opinion / perception of the morality of an act is remarkable. It's one of the strongest arguments I've encountered against permissive libertarianism.

How does the disappearance of legal abortion relate to the continued extremely low birth rate in Poland (1.4 per woman according to the World Bank, well below the rate in easy-abortion Czechia)? Are the many illegal, presumably mostly chemical, abortions? Or do Polish sexual and contraceptive practices effectively eliminate "unwanted" pregnancies? Or is something else going on?

My question with this report in Rzeczpospolita is that it shows a 90% reduction in abortions occurring *in Poland*. How many abortion-seeking women simply crossed into Czechia or Germany and obtained an abortion outside of Poland? It could be that the absolute number of abortions has not decreased at all, but merely transferred to abortion clinics in other European countries.
