Thank you for that final paragraph. That is too often overlooked.

Thanks for this summary. It answered my questions about the history of the so-called “Consecration Controversy”with charity and clarity. Well done!

One of the most readable and informative reports I have seen so far in The Pillar. Bishop Aymond is a credit to the Church on the order of Bishop Gomez. There may be hope for us yet.

Fr. Gruner knew the consecration had not satisfied Heaven. He was sanctioned. Sr. Lucy was silenced. BVM said "It will be late, but the consecration will be done." Thanks be to God.

Why can't the Pope just follow what the Our Lady said. She only asked for Russia to be concentrated. Forget diplomacy and political correctness! Follow the Blessed Mother's instructions. Its simple enough.

Unfortunately, popes in the past were pressured by outside elements NOT to do the consecration as She requested. It was not that simple, Proper conditions had to be met.

After Pope St JPII consecrated Russia and the world in '84, things did look to be miraculously changing with Gorbachev, glasnost, the end of the Cold War and German reunification.

The consecration has not been and will still not be done because of political correctness. So more suffering because the church leaders care more for diplomacy than obeying the Mother of the Lord, Queen of Heaven

>Christ institutes the Eucharist, using one cup and one piece of bread, and tells us to do the same in memory of Him

>Catholic priest uses multiple hosts and chalices in one Mass

>"noooo they haven't been consecrated, why cant you follow what Christ did, this is all because of practical correctness noooo"

He didn't say that they should use only one bread. Imagine feeding 100 people on one piece of bread. How big do you think the host will be?

When Jesus said do this in remembrance of Me, He wasnt referring to having one bread. He was referring to the sacrfice.

Pretty sure they literally do exactly that in the Eastern Churches, with one massive Lamb and one massive Cup. But that's beside the point. The apparition didn't say "only consecrate Russia" either. Do you think the all-holy Theotokos and her Son will be annoyed just because Pope Francis wants to add another country in?

No. But why not follow exactly what our Lady asked. I am sure that if she wanted other countries consecrated she would have said so. She specifically mentioned only Russia so obviously she wanted this to be a special consecration of that country. Like I said before, do away with political correctness.

Ukraine was part of the USSR when the other popes attempted to make the consecration, so including it makes sense.

Thank God the Pope is doing this without fear of retaliation from anyone. I have not always agreed with the holy Father but I am in full support of this act of consecration. Thank you , Pope Francis.

If we as Catholics can renew our vocational vows, I see it as a good thing to renew our commitment to trusting our mother Mary intercession with our Lord.
