The patronizing “providing the faithful with proper catechesis on the reasons for this norm [of standing for Communion]" regarding those who choose to kneel for Communion is not in the current U.S. edition of the General Instruction; while it was present in the 2003 version, it was removed in the edition that was published with the new English translation of the Missal approved in 2010. The USCCB Committee on Divine Worship noted at the time that this was altered "to reinforce an individual's right to kneel for reception of Holy Communion."

I'm not remotely a Trad but as an occasional Extraordinary Minister I simply don't understand why people care about how others receive Communion, as long as you're respectful, reverent, consume immediately, and say Amen. Sheesh. Don't we have better things to worry about, like financial mismanagement, sexual abuse, and just getting through the day?
