With synodality we'll hopefully have a forum where all the many Catholic voices having their say out in the media can have a genuine fraternal dialogue that will lead somewhere other than shouting into the ether. That's the experience that I think The Pillar is breaking ground on too. I've noticed the Pillar articles being referenced more and more on good moderate Catholic forums and blogs in a refreshingly positive way.
Check out the Diocese of Savannah's response to the synod on synodality. We are blessed to have an awesome Bishop! He has traveled the entire diocese holding listening sessions that were well attended.
Will there be any future articles about the three US bishops under investigation? I'd be curious to read the Pillar's analysis of their individual situations. I appreciated the nuanced reporting you did on Knoxville, so it would be great to read a similarly measured take on those three cases. Thanks and Happy New Year!
Another thing I'd like to see in 2022: the Beatification of Ven. Fulton Sheen. Whatever happened with that?
