Other than some initiatives and societal activities, plus ceremonial events, why does the Church spend so much time focusing on Anglicanism?
As long as there are women "bishops"
ordaining "priests" and other bishops (even if there could be a way around "Apostolicae curae") there is no hope for full communion between the RCC and the C of E. Add that to the odd theology and ecclesiology practiced in much of the Anglican Communion and we could not be further away from union.
Someone (Newman maybe, or Chesterton; someone of that stature as I recall) once prophesied that if England returns to the Church, Europe will follow. Perhaps they believe that in Rome?
