In the middle of the podcast, excellent as usual, and I have to stop and note how hilarious I am finding all the chair squeaking happening during the debate about corporations and the Legion of Christ. I am just picturing all the leaning back, and forward, and folding of arms, and possible gesticulating and it is lending the quality of a radio drama to an already great discussion. Bravo 👏 Now back to the podcast…

Having missed the appended picture above, I was surprised and delighted by a MN Yes or No. As a Minnesotan let me just pipe in: even with free admission and an aquarium the Mall of America is a definite No.

Also, the discussion about paid family leave was really excellent, thanks for it.

Highly entertaining podcast - wish I understood the canon law sidebar in the middle, but after listening to that section, if I could wave a wand and switch the US to a canonically-based integralist republic, I totally would right now. Also, the common good discussion was refreshing, though I quibble with the complaint Ed made about JD comparing a family to a corporation. If I understand Thomistic(/personalist) common good theory (I might not, so feel free to correct me), but this is precisely what common good theory does - they are both societal constructs, though with quite different histories, operating principles, and ends. They both contribute (or ignore, or attempt to thwart if they are disordered) the common good.
