When Bishop Lopes previously worked at the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, he was the one who re-wrote the Anglican mass, keeping its beautiful liturgy but making it fully Catholic. That is probably how he got the job of being their bishop. My point is; he spent several years thinking deeply about liturgy, and probably knows it better than if he had formal schooling in it.

Bishop Lopes would be an excellent choice. I knew him in the seminary, and knew his mother who spent many years teaching in a parish school. He is extremely intelligent, humble, a serious scholar, has accumulated wisdom and approaches liturgy with a profound reverence.
