This is an unsubstantiated accusation. More and more.we are seeing priests accused of "boundary issues" (Whatever that means)

The Church, since 2004, leaves the priest to hang because it is behind the times.and reality of today's world. Define what boundary violations are in Canon Law or administrative process.

Meanwhile, keep the Faith and be very, very discerning about bishops and religious

superiors. They are all too afraid of looking bad. They would rather throw a priest under a bus than restore them to ministry.after a false accusation.

Rarely in these cases is justice shown or mercy visible.

What in the HELL is going on at Franciscan University? Three priests have been accused and/or removed from ministry there. Having been there several times for conferences, I used to think it was a holy place- now I’m ashamed I was so naive. The TOR needs a thorough investigation from top to bottom, to root out the predatory priests and friars.

How in the world is a sexual assault a "boundary violation"? The commentary on this article might be a good and valid discussion in another place but here it is way off base. The author of this article seems to be making a bias towards the TORs narrative instead of just reporting what the victim said and what the TORs said.

Did any of you know that patting a child on the head or putting an arm around a kid for a Confirmation pic in some dioceses is a considered a serious boundary issue?

I was not saying that what the TOR did was right or good. I was saying most any innocent physical contact

could be a “boundary issue”.

Many Bishops and religious superiors

throw justice and common sense to the wind over fear of the Church looking bad.

God knows she already looks bad in many people’s eyes because of their predecessors not doing the right thing when egregious incidents happened These men are the cause of mess we are in today. God be merciful to them.

There is no balance, no prayerful discernment of what true, sinful “boundary issues” really are.

I know one priest who tells people, “Do not touch me” if someone come at him for a hug or a pat on the arm. He has great anxiety if a child grabs his legs for a hug.

Akso, the canonist did not suggest a canonical penalty for the TOR. She suggested basically a reprimand and care for the young lady. The canonist said that what happened was a “boundary issue.” After her investigation she said an egregious act of abuse did nothing happen. The priest was foolish to go to the young lady’s home in the first place.

ON WHAT PLANET IS IT A GOOD LOOK OR IDEA FOR A CELIBATE MAN TO STAY ALONE IN THE HOME OF A SINGLE YOUNG WOMAN??? WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE ST THOMAS AQUINAS??? I can’t believe his superiors signed off on that, because I know they do. The stupidity of this entirely preventable painful situation is truly astonishing in the 21st century.

I wish the young woman all blessings and I hope she finds healing and find peace in the body of Christ.

If people want to thumb through the evidence themselves it's all on my Twitter page that was created exclusively for this.

Unlike the TORs statement, I am not asking anyone to take me at my word on this. It's all public and available to be read.
