Trump meeting with bishops organized by Heritage Foundation official

An Oct. 22 meeting of U.S. bishops with President Donald Trump was organized by an official at the Heritage Foundation, according to several sources close to the meeting.

The meeting has drawn sharp criticism because of its proximity to the upcoming midterm Congressional elections, in which Democrats are widely expected to win control of the House of Representatives, while control of the Senate remains closely contested.
