I am honestly very happy to read once again of an initiative directed towards the 38% of American Catholics who have or are seeking a college education. There have been several such reports in this very journal and more elsewhere.

At the same time, I still await equally robust initiatives towards young workers who make up the remaining 62% of the faithful and are among the least pastorally served people in the Church. Father Cardijn, ora pro nobis.

can you cite your source? I'm genuinely interested. I saw an EWTN article that 32% of American Catholics have a bachelors, and 28% have some college experience. I wonder how many Catholics that are that age though are in college--and what percent came to America after that age and don't have a college degree/experience.

That's awesome! We did a similar event for the Kansas colleges when I was attending (Kansas Catholic College Student Convention) that was an overnight event. I was on the planning committee for 2000 (met my wife there!)--logistics of a hotel add a lot of work! Excited to see this for Missouri; hope it turns into a regular occurrence!
