They should have left it at filing their civil petition since they are relying on a civil ruling to my knowledge . It is inappropriate to “occupy” the church to prevent a liturgy they oppose . As for filing the civil petition they should reflect on 1 Corinthians 1-8.
This is such a disgrace for the Catholic minority in a Hindu-pagan ruled nation, the opposite of what the Christians did in pagan Rome. We really do start looking like lunatic fanatics. Everyone involved in occupying churches or disrupting the Mass should be excommunicated and not let back into the Church until they have publicly denounced their own actions. There are certain Masses which I find shocking and wrong, like the German clown Masses, but I would not even think of disrupting them. Standing outside the church with signs, quietly protesting and not blocking the entrances, is fine, but never inside a church. These people do not realize they are being servants of the devil and I hope they repent before they are personally thanked by Satan and welcomed into his realm.
Again it is the lack of clerical unity in following the preferred and approved set of Mass Rubrics that allows this all to happen. Recalcitrant clergy draws followers. Same happening in U.S. but not with physical disruptions by laity…yet. So sad indeed. One can only imagine what Christ will say about this prideful preferential stance?
Since VII these Rubric “wars” have only been happening due to lack of clerical unity in following Magisterium approved processes. So sad and so deeming to Church One, Holy and Catholic posture.
Y'all
I propose a new rule: anyone who occupies a church building as a form of protest gets excommunicated.
They are correct in that it violates the 2021 ruling. With one caveat:
The current agreement happened after 2025, and is an area where Bishops have discretion.
If you're going to launch a protest to shut things down, you better have a lot of people, or a lot of clout.

This is why we can't have nice things.
