Ahhh...the Church in North America is once again copacetic and the readings are synchronized, just in time for Pentecost, as the wayward provinces have joined the correct five after their three-day scripture diversion.

"The miracle of duo-lingo"

I'm dying.

The "tongues of fire" conversation is super cool. It would be so cool to have a priest hit on this during their Pentecost homily. Minds would be blown.

My feedback on the format: I was fine with what it was before. I was fine with what it was this time.

The only thing I’m truly invested in right now is Dr. Powell not knowing exactly what the format will be ahead of time. That was brilliant; long may it continue.

(P.S. Please don’t give him my address.)

Love the podcast as ever, and can’t wait to tell people that alas tiny little tongues of fire are not what actually happened on Pentecost… something way cooler! Did find the format a little more confusing than before potentially, feel like it lost a little of that emphasis on making connections between the readings from the start. Could potentially list in the show notes not just the references but like the context if you’re trying to help us listeners anchor ourselves “John 20: 19-23 Jesus first appears to the apostles in the upper room on Easter Sunday”

Loved the episode, especially on tongues of fire and the connection of Pentecost to the Ten Commandments, and the 3,000 to the golden calf.

As much as I was amused by Dr. Powell being caught off guard, I thought the new format disrupted the flow of the readings discussion.

Nonetheless, whichever format you go with, I'll keep listening. Keep up the good work!
