I was part of a pilgrimage where people walked across the state of Michigan carrying a large cross. Then we did the western side of Ohio. Then people did part of Kentucky, then I did Indiana. In the meantime Jim Butch Murphy did the same going from St. Augustine Florida to Sonoma California, 4000 miles. So it is quite possible to go on pilgrimage in the United States.
