Ed is on vacation— so JD is joined this week by Pillar Rome correspondent Edgar Beltrán to talk about declining Catholic identity in the United States and an overlap of evangelization and Catholic cultural practices.
South Bend doesn't have Sunday bus service either, so you have to go to a Mass nearby there just like Rome, or go Saturday evening which leads to Sunday being the only day one doesn't attend Mass. Not how to keep the Lord's day holy.
The parish Edgar is referring to at the beginning of the podcast might be my favorite church in Rome. I happened upon it on accident just a few weeks ago and I was the only one inside save a couple of sisters praying in front of the Blessed Sacrament. Love it!

I would love some Pillar coverage of some of the aforementioned vibrant Eastern Catholic parishes in the US!
Wherever you found Edgar, he's great!

JD's microphone has been a bit quiet the last 2 episodes as compared to Ed and Edgar.
