The Diocese of Salford in England announced this month the opening of the canonization cause for Pedro Ballester Arenas, who died of cancer in 2018 at 21 years of age.
I was so happy to hear that Pedro is now "Servant of God." I have his prayer card on my desk and often ask for his intercession. What a poignant illustration of the Communion of Saints, that his friends continued to speak to him, to ask him for things, right after his death. And his love for the Pope and for priests is so moving.
