Thank you for this interview. I think it is very helpful to get some perspective on the topic. When discussed on the podcast, it felt a bit one-sided. I appreciate more insight than "McKnight vs. Knestout" or "Bishops vs. the People."
That being said, I think we (the US Church) are still due for a deeper conversation about vulnerable adults, seminarians, etc. The question preceding the question, however, is how does that conversation happen? Synodality? Bishops' Conference? Internet commenting? I certainly want to be a part of it, particularly as a former seminarian.
