This week, JD and Ed talk about the Archdiocese of Washington’s $2 million dollar budget for the retired Cardinal Wuerl, and a parish making some unusual moves on Chicago’s South Side. Also - The Pillar Podcast shop is now open for business!
Re: "Video Content" -- I'd rather just listen to two people talking to each other than watch it. So if the only thing to be gained is the loss of Ed's dignity, I'm neutral. But if it helps The Pillar keep on chuggin', I'm all for it!
I would personally be uninterested in using a video format when the podcast works so well, and is more easily worked into my day. That said, I could see how making videos of the pod and breaking them into blocks based on discussion topic could play well on YT. "JD and Ed talk Cardinal Wuerl's $2M fund" etc.
Additionally, I primarily listen via podcast, but I think it would be helpful to have video as well even though I'd be unlikely to watch. I know that doesn't make any sense.
I really enjoy the podcast. I am not interested in video. I usually listen with my eyes closed or while puttering around the house, so audio is better.
Good show. Listening is just fine for me. Unless you're planning on having helpful visual items, seeing you both isn't necessary.
Also, the comments section on Mary Farrow's Q anon article isn't operative. It's there a way to activate it to start a thread as I have a family member impacted in this fashion and am in need of support. Thanks.

Great, great episode. Ed. calling anyone a mountebank is *chef’s kiss*.

And the transcripts?
Many of us don't have time to listen to podcasts. Could we not have transcripts?
